Lightning Lacrosse - Spring

Lighting Lacrosse offers co-ed 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U teams and a girls' 12U/14U team. Team offerings are dependent on having enough players register. If there aren't enough players to field a team, other options will be communicated.

8U is typically 1st and 2nd grade, 10U is 3rd and 4th grade, 12U is 5th and 6th grade, and 14U is 7th and 8th grade.

The season and its practices typically start in mid-March. Practices are during the week and games are played on Saturdays or Sundays, but not usually both in the same weekend. The season typically ends in late May or the first week of June.

Practices are held at Veteran's Freedom Park on La Crosse's French Island.

Home games are also usually at Veteran's. Away games may include trips to Rochester, Madison area, and Wisconsin Dells for example.

Practices are during the week. The number of practices per week depends on the team.

Usually, multiple games are played on a game date. Many of the game dates involve multiple teams - all meeting up to play against one another.

The club provides jerseys for all players. Jerseys are returned to the club at the end of the season.

Players may use their own protective equipment. Or they may elect to rent protective equipment from the club.

Each player is recommended to have their own lacrosse stick, cleats, and a water bottle. Each player must provide their own mouth guard.

Spring registration costs $175 per player and an additional $50 if you elect to rent protective equipment.
