Coach's Bios

Anthony Wagner - Head Coach

My name is Anthony Wagner and I will be coaching 14u this year. I was born and raised in La Crosse, WI and played for the lightning in high school. This will be my 3rd year coaching the 14u team for the lightning. I work as a firefighter in La Crosse. I am looking forward to a fun and successful season.

Jack Hubbard - Assistant Coach

My name is Jack Hubbard. I grew up in the Madison area and started playing lacrosse in middle school. I went on to play for both my high school team as well as a few travel teams. My fiance and I moved up to the La Crosse area 5 years ago and are getting married in October. I currently work as a firefighter, as well as own a junk removal company. This is my first year coaching and will be coaching 14U. I am looking forward to a fun season.

Dave Blackburn - Head Coach

Coach Blackburn grew up in upstate NY, collecting over a decade of experience in the game of lacrosse as a player or coach. He played through school and eventually college, starting all four years at SUNY Potsdam. During his playing years he earned MVP of the North team in the National Senior Showcase and had two second team All-SUNYAC bids. In pharmacy school he continued being close to the game, coaching JV lacrosse at Essex Junction, VT. Pharmacy practice brought him to WI, where he resides with children June, Sam, Albert, and wife Erin. They love being outdoors when their children aren’t participating in a sport or extracurricular activity. Coach Blackburn aims to foster a cohesive team atmosphere, where youth athletes come to grow in the game and as a person. Ultimately he wants to keep the game fun, while encouraging athletes to challenge themselves for personal and team growth.

Dan Pabst - Assistant Coach

Played Lacrosse for Forest Hills Central in Grand Rapids Michigan growing up. Lives in Lacrosse with wife Becky, kids Eric (9), Evan (7), Hanna (4)

Works as a partner at The Glacier Group; a manufacturers’ rep firm of commercial and industrial HVAC products

Kids attend Aquinas Schools.
